Rob shot this video of Kevin at the LeMay Marymount Campus talking about one of the exhibited motorcycles. Have fun!

Custom fabrication going along quite nicely

It's been around 29 degrees in the morning, which makes for a slow start. The guys are pretty amped about this project. Kevin went to Dean's to help stretch the metal over the frame. Dean is the fabricator our R25S screamin' machine. Dean's work is meticulous and professional, so I know we are in good hands as this mean racing machine gets built out.

If you have been dreaming about your own special project and want custom fabrication information, contact Dean Paulus at paulusbrothersenterprises@gmail.com.

Back from the Sunshine

When I came back from a visit south to the sunshine, I found our webmaster had been working in the 29 degree weather to get a lot of photos up for our R25S racing project. Kevin and Dean are quite busy designing and fabricating and excitement is building. Bonneville is only six short months away!!! Check out all the design activity...

Snowed in!

We just dug out from under four days of snow. It was also 4 days of no power, so Kevin was too busy building fires in the fireplace and shoveling snow and leaping out from under trees that were crashing down all around us to do any motorcycle restoration work. Our power was out, phone was out, cell phone ran out, heat was off, and we were literally snowed in and could not get the cars out. So we sat around and talked about our race projects and the new sidecar rig and the Las Vegas auction.

We've got momentum...

We are all excited about the current pet project, so Kevin has built a new 'tell all' page where he explains exactly and in detail how to build a screaming dynamo jet propelled mighty mighty monster of an R25S racing sidecar rig. Read all about it on our R25S Racing Sidecar page!

Working with Dean

Can 250 BMWs really fly? Dean Paulus seems to think so, and immersed himself in the fabrication of a trellis/box section segment of an airplane wing of his own design and fabrication to tack onto the side of the Freedle Flyer in pursuit of the vintage 250cc sidecar record at Bonneville in 2012. Stay tuned for photos and an update....

Lessons learned in the development and racing of our 500cc sidecar were quite enlightening, and some of those modifications are being scaled over to the 250 for our record attempt.

Race Dreams

So around here information is disseminated on a need to know basis. Usually I do not fall into that category. That is why I first found out about the 2012 racing plans simply by eavesdropping. It is not hard to do around here, I just hover in a doorway and listen to Kevin and which ever creative friend he is gabbing to, like Bruce, Dean, Dave1, Dave2, Uncle Phred, Rob, etc. So what I heard so far went something like this: "What is faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound? What is like a greased streak of lightening?

LeMay Foundation Exhibit

LeMay Foundation, recognized as one of the world's largest and finest collections of Vintage and Antique Automobiles and auto related memorabilia, invited us to participate in a month long display of Vintage BMW Motorcycles. We displayed our vintage beauties starting December 3, 2011, and closed the exhibit December 30. Rob is creating a video of the event.

The show was a grand success. We loved that a group of German tourists visiting Seattle called the Foundation and reserved a visit to see the bikes!

Great News! We are stars for a month at LeMay.

Getting Rained Out?

It is raining very hard in Bonneville. Kevin did not take the motorcycles through inspection, and Kevin & Barbara are heading into town for a relaxed evening in warm rooms out of the cold rain. They are staying overnight to see if the weather clears up tomorrow, hoping the storm blows through. If it doesn't, the race stewards will cancel the meet. So for the moment, it is a holding pattern.
